PowerChord Productions was established in order to provide local aspiring musicians a chance to take their talent to the next level. We create motivation and determination for them to continue along the road to success and end up at a dream fulfilled. We create an oppurtunity for amateur bands to play along with some "big dogs" of talent in front of an adrenaline-addicted crowd and experience the real joy of music. We create the passion.

We do Battle of the Bands, but they are much more than that. Usually these types of venues select their meat, and it must already be marinated in some expensive steak sauce. Not here. Here, everyone is in, whether they suck or not. Here, everyone wins a prize. Of course, there is an actual competition - what would a BATTLE of the Bands be without one? - but unlike most others, the audience decides the winner - not the judges. This is not going to be a show of quantity, but quality. The novices get to play in front of a diverse crowd - an experience that does not occur very often for begginers. The talented ones get to show whether they deserve to have the reputation they have. Never has there been a show like this. 

PowerChord Productions was established not to long ago. It was dreamed up by Hal Beswick - a marvelous man that won't let any dream fly away and go poof. He got the idea because his son Kyle had a band that never had a place to play - and they were good. He heard of all these local "legends" and realized that in the quaint town of El Dorado Hills, California, there really is no place to perform. There really is no place to go, period. So, he changed that. Unfortuanatly, Kyle's band split apart (not his fault) before the first show and did not play. So the whole motive for the event was now invalid. But it was still a dream. Hal knew he must go on. He knew that the people of this town needed it. It turned from a simple venue provider for a struggling band, into a full-fledged entertainment venue for many, bands and audience alike. It wasn't about the money. It was about that passion. Thus, the idea grew and grew. The dream turned into action, and the idea turned into the Sacramento Region's #1 Entertainment Venue: PowerChord Productions.
